Christianity Explored is a course we are running between May and July which will give you time and space to consider the big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith - Jesus Christ
-
You don’t need to know anything about the Bible
-
You won’t be asked to read aloud, pray or sing
-
You can ask any question you want, or just listen
We'd love you to join us
-
The course is split over 7 sessions and will look at the life of Jesus, using sections of Mark’s Gospel. We will have copies available for you to check out what Mark says yourself.
-
The evenings will be café style, relaxed and non-threatening. You are welcome to come once or for as many sessions as you’d like.
-
We will be providing a meal at 7.30pm (free of charge), which will be served as soon as everyone’s arrived (please let us know if you have allergies or there’s anything you can’t eat).
-
Once we’ve eaten, we can settle down with a coffee to watch a short video introducing a subject to get us thinking.
-
Following the video, we plan on having an informal 40-45 minutes where you are welcome to ask any questions you may have about what we’ve just seen, bring observations, comments and what you believe. If you just want to sit and listen, that’s fine.
-
There will be a mixture of people, some from the church bringing friends and family, and also people from the local communities. If you are coming on your own, and are a bit nervous about walking into a different place, one of us will be pleased to meet up with you and bring you along. Just let us know.
-
The dates are all Thursdays: May 10th, 17th and 31st, June 7th, 14th and 21st, and July 5th. There may be an additional session, but if it goes ahead, we will let you know as soon as we can, so if you want to come, you can put it in your diary.
-
Time: 7.30pm-9.30pm. We may finish earlier, depending on how much talking we all do, but we’ll try not to go past 9.30pm.
-
Venue: Banners Gate Community Church – please come to the entrance at the back of the car park and there will be people ready to welcome you.
-
